The fishing has been has been good considering the heat and rain we've been experiencing throughout the month. There have been consistent catches of speckled trout this month with some good size fish mixed in. The redfish bite has remained hot and the reds continue to bite topwater lures which makes for a exciting trip. I recently had a father and son team (Bill and TJ) aboard and our goal was to catch TJ his first redfish. Of course this kind of request puts a little more pressure on Capt Fred to make sure everyone is happy. After a little instruction TJ became an ole pro at walking the dog and he took the pressure right off Capt Fred catching his first redfish! Not only did he catch his first redfish it came on a topwater lure which made the experience so much more exciting! Congrats TJ!
ore exciting.
