The intense summer heat has set in and the fish are reacting to the changes. The waters in the shallows of the backcountry have heated up and the fishing has slowed with the increased heat. The redfish are still in the shallows but are as active so you have to patient. The trout have scattered out so you really have to work hard to find a few. The best option could be with the flounder as they have started to show up in better numbers.
